Crossing the Blood-Brain Barrier: A New Era of Pre-Targeted Alpha Therapy for Brain Cancer
A multidisciplinary consortium led by Danish biotech company PreTT ApS has received a DKK 31.2 million (€4 million) investment from Innovation Fund Denmark for the PRE-BREACH project. The project aims to develop a groundbreaking radiotherapy capable of crossing the blood-brain barrier to treat glioblastoma, one of the most aggressive and deadly forms of brain cancer. Glioblastoma remains one of the most lethal cancers, with 75–80% of patients dying within two years of diagnosis. Its location in the brain severely limits treatment options such as surgery and external radiation, while the blood-brain barrier prevents most therapies from reaching the tumour. PreTT Announces Leadership Transition as Company Enters Next Stage of Development
PreTT ApS (“PreTT”), a Copenhagen-based company developing a pioneering pretargeted radioligand therapy (RLT) platform, today announced a CEO transition to support the company’s strong momentum and next phase of growth. By mutual agreement with the Board of Directors, Mr. Francesco Sergi‑Lindell has stepped down from his role as Chief Executive Officer and has departed the company. The Board thanks Mr. Sergi‑Lindell for his leadership and his important contributions in establishing PreTT’s foundation and early progress. ​Effective now, Dr. Natalia Herrero Alvarez, previously R&D Director, has been appointed Chief Executive Officer.
